OUR HISTORY
Our church is located in Enfield, North Carolina, in Halifax County. We are 5 miles east of Interstate 95 between Roanoke Rapids and Rocky Mount.
We are an active, community-oriented, multi-generational congregation with members ranging in age from the mid-twenties to mid-nineties. We strongly believe in the Priesthood of all Believers, and welcome people from other denominations. We have been ordaining women Deacons since 1964.
We are a Christ-Centered, Bible-Based, and Ministry-Focused church seeking to know God more, and to make Him known.
Enfield Baptist Church was founded on March 29, 1879. The church building was constructed in 1916 according to the "Akron" style, octagonal sanctuary. An Education Building was completed in 1952.
Our church is affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of NC and the Baptist State Convention of NC. We are also a member of the North Roanoke Baptist Association.
